Andy Cohen reveals daughter Lucy was ‘one of the first gestational surrogate babies born’ in NY

The daughter of Emmy-winning producer Andy Cohen, Lucy Eve may only be 13 months old, but she’s already made history as “one of the first surrogacy surrogate babies born” in New York State.

Surrogacy is the process of hiring a woman, who has not cared for her own egg, to carry a fetus for another person/couple.

“Until then, it was illegal in New York State [2020] and I helped get that bill passed,” the 55-year-old Missouri resident said on Amanda Hirsch’s Dear Media podcast Not skinny but not fat last Tuesday.

“And Governor Cuomo, he really pulled it off.”

The 65-year-old Democratic politician stepped down in 2021 following allegations that he had sexually harassed 11 women while in office.

The two-time Peabody Award winner reportedly has two remaining frozen embryos in the “bank.”

He suggested a new scenario where they could come in handy in the future in case his two children are unable to have children of their own and want to raise their siblings instead.

Andy did the podcast to promote his fourth 288-page book, The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up, which hit shelves May 9.
