Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan are placed under HOUSE ARREST following claims of ‘sex with girl aged 15 and trafficking of 17-year-old to UK to make porn’ with new probe involving 35 ‘victims’

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been placed under house arrest in Romania for 30 days, amid an investigation into allegations of ‘sex with a 15-year-old girl and human trafficking of a 17-year-old girl’ in Britain, after which the girl was forced to ‘perform sexual acts to produce pornographic material’.

The new investigation involves a total of 35 alleged victims, including a woman who was just 15 at the time. The alleged victims were all said to have been in a “marked state of vulnerability.”

The Tate brothers appeared in court Thursday afternoon and prosecutors have now requested that they be held in custody for 30 days while the investigation continues.

Andrew Tate, the divisive internet personality, made an angry statement to the press outside court, dismissing the case as a “conspiracy”.

He said, ‘This is a trap. It’s absolutely disgusting. Thirty of these girls say we did nothing wrong. Two are the mothers of our children.’

A spokesman for Andrew Tate confirmed the pair had been placed under house arrest today and that the brothers “welcome the decision” but “strongly deny all allegations made against them”.

The case comes after the Tate brothers were among six people arrested in an investigation into human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

DIICOT, the Romanian agency against organized crime, said in a statement that a total of six people, both Romanians and foreigners, had been arrested.

Police allege that one of the suspects, who they said was a foreign national but did not name, had “sexual relations” with a 15-year-old boy from December 2020.

The same suspect is also accused of forcing a 17-year-old boy to perform sexual acts, after which pornographic material was posted on various websites.

The man is said to have kept all proceeds from the videos, worth $1.5 million (£1.1 million).

The alleged victim was allegedly ‘misled’ and placed in various locations in Romania and the UK.

According to DIICOT, two of the suspects used the “loverboy” method, which involves convincing victims that they are in a romantic relationship. They used this method to force 34 victims to produce pornography. They then sold this pornography online for a profit of over $2.8 million and 887,000 tokens.

Prosecutors say two of the suspects are accused of purchasing luxury cars “in the names of loved ones” to conceal the fact that they were making profits from human trafficking.

It is not clear which charge applies to which of the six suspects.

Tate tweeted that the case against him is a widespread “conspiracy” to silence him.

This morning, a post on Tate’s account on the social media platform X read: “All they are trying to do is damage my name with complete nonsense,” without specifying who it was about.

A spokesman for Andrew Tate said: ‘Andrew Tate has been placed under house arrest and his brother Tristan is under judicial supervision, the judge of the Bucharest court decided today, August 22 at 7:30 p.m.

‘DIICOT had filed a request for 30 days of preventive detention for both brothers, but the judge rejected the request due to the exemplary behavior of the brothers during the previous preventive measures.

‘The Tates welcome the verdict and strongly deny all allegations made against them. They stress that the allegations are baseless and not supported by substantial evidence.

“They will continue to abide by the law and remain steadfast in proving their innocence.”
