Andrew O’Keefe is slapped with a new charge as he appears at Waverley Court

Disgraced former TV personality Andrew O’Keefe walked out of court Thursday with a big smile on his face, facing a new charge as he awaits sentencing after appealing domestic violence convictions.

The former Deal or No Deal presenter appeared in Waverley Crown Court on Thursday charged with harassment and breaching an assault order.

The court was told that police had since filed an additional charge of entering restricted areas without just cause, following the alleged incident on July 28.

According to police, the 52-year-old threatened a man at an address in Point Piper shortly before he was arrested while driving and allegedly in possession of a crack pipe.

Last month the court was told that Mr O’Keefe confronted the man “possibly out of jealousy” after the relationship with his former partner had “rekindled”.

The prosecutor said at the time that O’Keefe admitted to putting one foot through the door despite knowing he was “not supposed to be on the premises.”

The court was told that after the alleged harassment O’Keefe was found with a crack pipe in his jacket pocket and was under the influence of drugs, but he has not been charged with any drug-related offences.

He is due back in court next week. His new lawyer, Jahan Kalantar, said he will likely enter a not guilty plea pending “productive discussions” with the prosecutor.

It comes as the former Weekend Sunrise presenter awaits his fate following a high-profile appeal against a January conviction on drug and domestic violence-related charges.

O’Keefe was found guilty and sentenced to 12 months in prison and three 18-month community service orders for the “terrifying and humiliating” attack.
