And now Andrea McLean, 53, has revealed that she is “crap” for keeping in touch with her former Loose Women co-stars, admitting she was “nervous” about leaving the daytime program.

The former TV host – who is now focused on her This Girl Is On Fire website and her writing career – shared how she messages Brenda Edwards, Denise Welch, Linda Robson and Saira Khan.

Real talk: Andrea McLean, 53, has revealed she is ‘nonsense’ for keeping in touch with her former Loose Women colleagues and admitted she was ‘nervous’ about leaving the daytime program

Andrea told The sun: ‘I keep in touch with some of the ladies from the Loose Women, just like I only talk to some when I’m there – but not hugely.

‘Especially because I’m busy, working and doing my thing. Brenda and I message, Denise, Linda Robson, Saira.

“I was crap to keep in touch when I was there and I’m just as shit now.

“But it doesn’t matter what’s nice, because with your real friends it doesn’t matter if you haven’t seen each other in years.”

Elsewhere, Andrea confessed that she was nervous about leaving Loose Women because she had been doing the job for a long time and it had become her “identity.”

Explaining how she sat down, the entrepreneur acknowledged that she is more than just her job title, and that she wants to help people more than anything else.

Andrea insisted she would Urge anyone who is in doubt about making a change to sit down and write a “what if everything goes wrong” list and turn it into a “what if everything goes right” list.

No big deal: ‘But it doesn’t matter what’s fun, because with your real friends it doesn’t matter if you haven’t seen each other in years’

In April, Andrea revealed that she had been dropped from all of her brand recommendations the day she announced her departure with Loose Women.

The TV personality admitted that the shock move felt like a financial “kick in the stomach” and forced her to live on her savings for the next eight months.

She vowed never to return to her former role on the daytime show, served on the panel for 13 years, but insisted she’s proud to “leave with grace.”
