Owen Hargreaves was left stunned as Man United’s Andre Onana gifted Bayern Munich the opening goal of their Champions League group stage match.
The Man United goalkeeper allowed Leroy Sane’s weak effort to slip past him in the first half of their tie at the Allianz Arena.
Onana’s error was compounded by Man United conceding again before half-time.
Former Man United and Bayern Munich midfielder Hargreaves, speaking on TNT Sports, was shocked by Onana’s mistake for the opening goal.
“You just have to save that. I don’t know if he doesn’t put his feet back up, but that ball just can’t go in. He knows Onana right away,” Hargreaves said.
“Sane doesn’t have a strong touch on it, he just needs to keep it out of the way.
“He shakes his head, he’s so frustrated. He knows he can’t make this mistake.
