Anderson Cooper reveals his son Wyatt's funny Christmas list includes a VERY unusual request for Santa

Anderson Cooper shared an adorable story about his son Wyatt, three, and what he wants from Santa Everything there is to Anderson Cooper podcast.

The journalist, 56, spoke specifically about one item on his son's rather unusual Christmas list.

“This is the first Christmas that Wyatt is really excited about,” said Cooper – who left behind his mother Gloria Vanderbilt's entire estate.

'He's almost four and is completely aware of the fact that Santa Claus brings presents, reindeer land on roofs and Jingle Bells is a song he can sing all day long.'

“He wants a toy car, two candy canes, a rainbow, a pillow and knees. “Just to be clear, he has two knees that seem to be working fine, but apparently he wants some backups,” he explained.

'It was late and we decided to decorate the tree the next morning. When I put Wyatt to bed, he was so excited.”

After a busy Christmas with two young sons, the Anderson Cooper 360 host will once again host CNN's annual New Year's Eve show alongside his friend Andy Cohen, 55.

During a recent appearance on Cohen's Watch What Happens Live, Cooper deftly dodged his friend's questions about his sex life and what his deal breakers are.

The questions started innocently enough, but soon Cooper couldn't control his giggling as Cohen kept asking precocious questions.

After the 60 Minutes correspondence said he wouldn't make a sex tape or bring a third person into the bedroom, Cohen dug in.

Cooper was asked if he “likes baby talk in the bedroom, excessive nipple play and being over twenty years younger than you” as deal breakers were suggested.

The author of Vanderbilt: The Rise and Fall of an American Dynasty responded, “Deal breaker, giggles, not a deal breaker. '

And Cooper, who has been ringing in the new year at CNN for 17 years, thinks his and Cohen's annual New Year's Eve shenanigans offer a respite for people who might be dreading the holiday.

New Year's Eve is often 'too hard, too stressful to go out'. There's something slightly depressing about it. “It often ends badly for many people,” he said Variety in 2020.

He believes broadcasting from Times Square can help audiences celebrate without the risk of having a bad night.

“It's two people standing in the cold and rain and watching things happen. Funny things happen, and a lot of things happen, and that's it. It's a fun night out, and that's really all you can expect on New Year's Eve.'
