And you thought the iPhone 15 Pro Max was big! YouTuber builds the world’s largest iPhone β over 6.5 FEET tall
With the demand for wider screens and more powerful batteries, there’s no denying that mobile devices are getting bigger and bigger.
But imagine having to carry around a 6-foot iPhone.
That dream became a reality for British YouTuber Arun Maini, who set a new Guinness World Record by building the largest smartphone in the world.
The enormous device is 2,054 meters high and weighs a whopping 200 kilograms β about the same as a bottlenose dolphin.
The device is incredible, but it is fully functional, complete with touchscreen, apps, working camera, 400 watt flashlight, charging port and more.

The video shows the YouTuber playing games on the streets of London and sustaining a burn on his finger while scrolling through social media.
According to the tech fan, better known as Mrwhosetheboss, he has been working on the machine, which is a larger version of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, for more than three months.
βEvery part of the phone has to be fully functional: the screen, the cameras, the speakers, even the buttons,β Maini said.
‘I have no way to measure it exactly, but this iPhone weighs between 150 and 200 kilograms, thanks in part to real brushed aluminum all around.
“So you don’t want to drop this thing on your face when you’re in bed.”
Mr. Maini had promised his viewers that he would build the biggest iPhone if he had more YouTube subscribers than Apple.
(Apple has 19.3 million YouTube subscribers, while Maini has surpassed that, bringing the count to 19.4 million.)
He kept his promise and teamed up with Matthew Perks (known as @DIYperks) to create a larger version of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which weighs 221 grams.

The final product is so large β more than 12 times the size of the original β that it must be transported on a wheeled chassis.
The device features an 88-inch OLED TV as a screen display, which, like any smartphone, functions fully as a touchscreen.
You can use it to open apps, make phone and video calls, play videos, listen to music and even take selfies, as the YouTuber shows in his video.
As Mr Maini drives it to Princes Street in central London β just around the corner from the Apple Store β the public tries it out with a few rounds of Flappy Bird, the popular mobile game.
It also houses portable digital cameras, where the lenses of a full-sized smartphone would be.
According to Mr. Maini, the giant iPhone’s camera system is capable of delivering better video quality and zoom, as well as a wider field of view.
βAnother advantage of having a phone the size of two people is that you can see the whole street with your selfie camera,β he says in the video.

Mr. Maini started uploading content on YouTube in 2011 and has since amassed a large following through his tech reviews.
It’s still unclear what will happen to his mammoth creation, but in any case, it won’t be hitting the stores anytime soon.
βGrowing up, I would spend hours in the library reading the latest Guinness World Records books,β he said.
‘The fact that I have won a prize myself feels completely unreal.’
