I have been performing the ancient practice of palm reading for more than 40 years… here are my secrets so YOU can tell your own future

Imagine looking at your hands and knowing what the future holds.

For centuries, people have claimed that they have the ability to read palms, analyzing lines, hand shape, finger length, texture and other details to predict what will happen next.

This pseudoscience of fortune telling, known as palmistry or palmistry, claims to interpret lines and folds on the hand to predict aspects of your life, including love, health, creativity, intelligence and emotions.

Followers of the ancient practice believe that each mark and groove has a meaning that can differ based on length, curvature and depth.

Even the intersections of lines would add up to a detailed analysis of a person’s character and possible future outcomes.

But like astrology or tea leaf reading, palmistry is seen more as a superstitious belief by the scientific community.

The lines analyzed on the palm include the life line which symbolizes health, the head line which represents intellectual abilities and the heart or love line, which is associated with emotions and relationships.

DailyMail.com spoke to psychic medium Alicia Rose, who has taken more than 150,000 readings over the past 40 years, to break down the art of palmistry.

Which hand you read matters

Your left and right palms are different in the world of palmistry.

In general, your dominant hand will give you the most accurate results and is the hand you should focus on.

As Rose explained, “The non-dominant hand is what you are born with, and the dominant hand is what you do with what you are given.”

In palmistry, the easiest way to analyze your hand is to take two pictures.

The first should be with your hand flat open, palm facing up, fingers naturally spread apart and thumb extended out to the side.

Keep your hand relaxed as you study the natural lines of your palm.

For the second photo – of the same hand – very gently rotate your fingers from a horizontal position to a very slightly vertical position.

This way, the lines on your palm become clearer and easier to read.

You will notice faint, broken and deeper lines when you look at your palm or at the photos.

Rose said, “Lines can change over time because they reflect our choices in life. In general, strong lines suggest depth, strength, or power, and weak lines indicate volatility, instability, or weakness.”

The fate line

The Fate Line, also called the Line of Destiny, runs vertically along the palm, often starting at the wrist and extending to the middle finger.

If the Fate Line starts higher than the base of the palm, you can expect success and career changes later in life.

“A strong, solid line indicates progress, and if it ends in a fork, it indicates success financially,” Rose said.

She added, “If the line ends in a trident, it signifies success, spirituality and fulfillment.

‘A weak fate line is a disappointment, a missing one is a predictable everyday life and a broken fate can mean a great loss or setback.’

And if you see two lines, you are destined for great success.

It’s important to pay attention to where one Fate Line intersects with the other, as this can indicate when that success will find you.

“The intersection (with) the Head Line (means) around age 35 and the Heart Line at age 55,” Rose explained.

The Heart Line

The center line is a central line in palmistry. Practitioners claim that this dash provides insight into feelings, relationships, love and romance.

It runs horizontally across the upper part of the palm, starting on the edge under the little finger and moving towards the index finger.

A long heart line means that you are expressive with your emotions and relationships.

A short heart line indicates that it is difficult for you to get along with someone else.

Also pay close attention to where your center line ends.

‘If your Heart Line ends below your index finger, you are idealistic and a true heart giver. You give everything to your relationships with others and are loved by everyone.

If it ends under the middle finger, you focus on family and are a true friend who is loyal with a sense of duty.

Rose says you may be a leader, independent and have great people skills.

If your line falls between your index and middle fingers, you are very practical in your relationships and use common sense. You are trusting, relaxed, tolerant and have friends from different backgrounds,” Rose added.

The depth of your heart line also provides clues. A deep line means that you love with strong emotions and a weak line means that it is difficult for you to get close to others.

The way the heart line curves across your palm to your fingers tells how much you love. If it curves upward, you are very expressive with your feelings. A straight line means you are reserved.

Rose said, “If you ultimately reject Heartline, you are a person who guards your feelings and does not fall in love easily, because when you do love, it is very deep. You internalize your emotions, and some may not find it easy to read emotionally.”

The main line

This mark is said to provide insight into how you think, process information and communicate with others.

You can look for it under the Heart Line. It starts from the edge near your thumb and extends horizontally to the other side of the palm.

In general, a long outline indicates that you value detail and can absorb a lot of information.

It is said that a short headline suggests that someone thinks more linearly and comes to conclusions quickly.

“A longer line ending under the ring finger signifies intelligence and a shorter line (signifies) dullness,” Rose said.

A deep head line probably means that you have a good memory, a focused mind and that you can concentrate more easily. A superficial one implies flexible thinking and a shorter attention span.

As with the others, the curvature is also important. A straight head means practical and realistic.

A slanted or curved line suggests that you trust your instincts and have a vivid imagination.

Where the line starts also reflects different properties.

‘A line closer to the index finger can signify a capacity for leadership, charm and a magnetic personality. A line that falls lower to the middle indicates someone who gets frustrated easily and does not like criticism,” Rose said.

And a very low line indicates a lack of self-confidence.

Mystical cross

Rose said the Mystic Cross, which is a line between the heart and the head, could be the mark of someone with strong psychic abilities.

If the mark is under the index finger, you can gain an “uncanny insight” into the thoughts of others, the palm reader said.

If it is under your middle finger, you are said to be very intuitive and versatile.

Under your ring finger are creative qualities, healing energies and happiness in life.

Finally, if the cross falls under your little finger, Rose says you have a desire to “learn the unknown and explore mysticism and spirituality.”
