An influencer nearly died from complications following a lip reduction procedure

I almost died after complications from lip reduction made my mouth swell DOUBLE its size

A Russian influencer has revealed how she almost died from complications after having a lip reduction that made her mouth double the size.

Cartier Bugatti, 22, from Samara in the Volga region, nearly died of complications following the procedure with a beautician, Russian media reported.

The mother of a child with a lot of ink, whose real name is Kristina Vishnivetskaya, had started to have her oversized lips reduced, but things soon went wrong.

According to Kristina, her lips and cheeks swelled more than twice their normal size after she had an allergic reaction to the medication she was given.

According to reports, the influencer was given Longidaza – an immunomodulatory drug with anti-inflammatory properties.

After undergoing the reaction, she was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Kristina, who has 117,000 Instagram followers, says the medics’ quick actions helped prevent her from developing a serious case of Quincke’s edema.

In some cases, Quincke’s edema — sudden swelling under the skin — can cause the throat to swell, leading to difficulty breathing.

The influencer, who also has more than 17,000 Telegram subscribers, is now out of danger, but was kept in hospital for observation for several days after the scare.

The Moscow-based social media star said at the time: “Of course they won’t let me die here, and that’s the most important thing.”

Kristina, who went for the procedure after lumps formed in her lips, revealed she had no idea she was allergic to Longidaza.

What can you expect from lip filler:

Lip fillers are a safe medical treatment when performed by an experienced healthcare provider, including a plastic surgeon, dermatologist, or cosmetic surgeon.

You may experience mild pain at your injection sites. The pain should subside in 12 to 24 hours.

Lip fillers are not permanent. They wear off slowly over time, usually 12 to 18 months after you get them, depending on your metabolism

You may need routine touch-up treatments to maintain the desired volume.

It’s best to wait to eat until after the local anesthetic or nerve block injection has worn off so you don’t accidentally bite your lips and interfere with the filler.

She told her online followers, “Sure, if I had known about the allergy, I would have continued to live without doing anything, I think.”

The beautician she visited was not authorized to perform lip reductions.

The influencer has since been released from the hospital and is now back home with her husband and son.
