Amy Poehler is ‘dating’ podcast producer Joel Lovell – whose daughter once dressed up as her Inside Out character Joy

Amy Poehler is reportedly dating Pineapple Street Studios editor-in-chief Joel Lovell, who previously worked for This American Life and New York Times Magazine.

The 53-year-old comedian has been enjoying spending time with the New York-based podcast producer-editor since “earlier this summer.” People.

Amy may have crossed paths with Joel through their mutual connection with Philly-based broadcast company Audacy, which happens to own Pineapple Street Studios.

Audacy is the same company behind Poehler’s 2023 scripted comedy podcast, Say More with Dr? Sheila.

Lovell – who is worked on Magnificent Jerk, Missing Richard Simmons and Serial – is the father of three daughters: Addie Lovell, 23; Tess Lovell, 21; and Julia Lovell, 17.

In 2015, little Tessie, now a student at Cornell University, happened to show up dressed as Poehler’s Inside Out character Joy for Halloween.

The Emmy-winning actress just reprized her voiceover role as the blue-haired yellow emotion in Kelsey Mann’s critically acclaimed sequel Inside Out 2, which grossed a whopping $1.691 billion at the worldwide box office last spring.

Amy previously dated actor John Stamos, comedian Nick Kroll and trademark/patent attorney Benjamin Graf.

Poehler had two teenage sons: Archibald William Emerson Arnett, who turned 16 on October 25; and Abel James Arnett, 14 – during her nine-year marriage to her Blades of Glory leading man Will Arnett, which ended amicably in divorce in 2016.

“I just started therapy,” the Canadian 54-year-old admitted SlimLess podcast on August 18.

On October 10, the Massachusetts-born blonde will be honored with the Robin Williams Legacy of Laughter Award from the late comedian’s children, Zak, Zelda and Cody, at Bring Change to Mind’s 12th annual Revels & Revelations fundraiser in Woodside, CA .

Amy will next receive the Variety Legend & Groundbreaker Award from the Newport Beach Film Festival in Newport, CA on October 20.
