‘They grow back, but during my treatment I have read a number of messages from ladies who said they had lost them again, as they had lost them again after the twelve week cycle.
“If this has happened to you, let me know. It’s a little frustrating, but it’s not the end of the world.’
Earlier this month, Amy revealed that losing her hair was the hardest part of her entire battle with breast cancer.
The strict professional had to shave her head after it started falling out during her chemotherapy last year.
Amy discovered a lump in her breast the day before she left for a belated honeymoon with husband Ben in the Maldives last April.
The dancer announced in an Instagram post shared in May 2023 that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy in July.
Since then, Amy has been regularly sharing health updates on Instagram. During her chemo treatment, she at one point suffered from sepsis and a blood clot in her lung.
Appearing in a moving short film that aired on The One Show early this month, she admitted that she is still coming to terms with some of the impact of the treatment, such as the aftermath of losing her hair.
“Making the decision to shave off my hair was definitely the hardest step during my entire cancer journey, but I wanted to stay in control,” she said.
