Adams can be seen in her new film Nightbitch
The film is about an artist who interrupts her career to become a stay-at-home mother. She’s looking for a new chapter in her life and encounters just that, when her nighttime routine takes a surreal turn and her maternal instincts begin to manifest in the form of a dog.
‘Motherhood has changed my priorities. And I think that has changed some relationships. That was difficult, but I don’t think it’s unusual.’
Amy now wants to work with a new generation of actors and actresses.
And the veteran star revealed she is especially fond of Jenna Ortega, her co-star in Taika Waititi’s Klara and the Sun adaptation.
Amy explained, “I learn so much from the young women I work with.

“I feel like I learn more from them than they could ever learn from me. Sometimes I forget that I’m not their age. I’m like, ‘Amy, you’re 50. You’re not going to hang!’
Despite this, Amy noted that there are still some advantages to being an older actress.
Amy – who has won several awards over the years, including two Golden Globes – said: ‘It gets so much better. But there are things I’m missing: my joints working, collagen, things like that.’
