Amusing moment driver hilariously struggles to get out of Westfield Hornsby car park: ‘I’m actually impressed’

A disgruntled customer was forced to perform a ’78-point turn’ after their Hyundai became stuck in the entrance to a busy Westfield.

The driver found himself in a tight spot after realizing he was driving the wrong way through the Westfield Hornsby car park on Sydney’s Upper North Shore.

Instead of backing up, they tried to make a three-point turn.

Footage taken by another driver shows the car moving forward and backward for several minutes before reaching the curb.

After dozens of maneuvers, the driver was able to pry the car loose before they zoomed away.

The footage, which was later shared to Reddit, quickly caught the attention of Australians who wondered how the driver got stuck.

“There is a high level of stupidity and skill here,” one person wrote.

“Bro really decided that executing a 78 point spin was the only option,” said a second.

A third said: ‘I still don’t understand why you wouldn’t just back around the corner. Anyway, a twenty-point turn works too, I think.’

“I can’t be the only one looking at this thought, how on earth did you end up in that situation?” a fourth commented.

“That reversing camera must have had a panic attack today,” a fifth wrote.

One viewer wondered if the driver had tried to avoid paying for parking.

“You’d be surprised how many times I’ve seen people drive into that entrance out of sheer stupidity,” the original poster responded.
