Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will launch a logo, website and brochure of a newly formed National Cooperative for Exports Limited (NCEL) at a national symposium in the national capital on Monday.

NCEL came into being after Shah emphasized the need to establish a multi-state cooperative at the national level that would function as an umbrella organization for exports by the cooperative sector.

NCEL, which was registered under the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act on January 25 this year, has an authorized share capital of Rs 2,000 crore and those co-operative societies from primary to top level who are interested in exporting come into eligible to become a member.

The symposium will begin with a presentation by officials of the Ministry of Cooperation on the various initiatives taken to strengthen the cooperative sector.
