Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom have revealed they were concerned for their three children as they feared for their lives when they were robbed at gunpoint earlier this year.

The pair were enjoying dinner in London before the ordeal in April, when a group of men robbed the 35-year-old boxing champion’s £72,000 watch while holding a gun to his head.

And a new episode of Shopping with Keith Lemon, filmed just hours after the incident, shows Amir and Faryal, 31, recalling their fears to the Celebrity Juice presenter.

The pair were enjoying a night in Leyton when Amir’s Franck Muller Vanguard watch was stolen, with the physical assault “visibly shaking the boxer”.

And when they appeared on the comedy show, in which Keith takes to the high street with special celebrity guests asking them questions, they opened up about the ordeal.

Horrific: And referring to their family, Faryal added: ‘And I kept thinking, imagine if they just shoot you, you think about your kids and all those things go through your head’

“I remember walking in the middle of the road yelling for help and saying, ‘There’s a gun, there’s a gun,'” she recalled.

Explaining that his life was more important than all material objects, Amir explained: ‘I just took off my watch, I no longer want the gun in my face, I think ‘ok, what’s the watch worth?’ I have money in the bank, I’m fine. I need my life, it’s more important to me’.

And referring to their family, Faryal added: “And I kept thinking, imagine if they just shoot you, you think about your kids and all those things go through your head.”

But for the rest of the show, she moved on to lighter topics, adding, “But you’re making us forget all that,” while nudging Keith.

At the time of the robbery, a video surfaced of the thieves fleeing in a car after taking Amir’s watch.

Hours before the attack, Amir Khan was photographed in Oxford Street wearing the watch, which is said to be decorated with 719 diamonds.

He was also seen wearing the timepiece at a Sunday night charity event at the Grosvenor House Hotel – giving the impression that it was the target.

Amir previously spoke of the attack in a voice that trembled with anger, adding: “This whole thing has really shaken and scared me and Faryal. You don’t expect to be robbed with a gun, not in London. That’s the kind of thing that happens in the US, but not in England.

“I’m lucky to be alive and when the robbers fled, all I wanted to do was hug my wife and kids. The thought of my family kept me from taking them because if I had I could be dead by now.”
