America’s saddest pizza: Lackluster pie from Miami Airport goes viral for all the wrong reasons

A pizza purchased at Miami Airport is causing a stir online due to its pitiful appearance.

A photo of their questionable-looking pizza was shared by Reddit user TheIndustrialMachine, who claimed they purchased the pitiful pizza from Maestro Della Pizza in the airport’s Central Terminal.

In the photo, the pizza looks like nothing more than a rectangle of crumbly store-bought dough with a translucent layer of red sauce on top.

On top of the pizza are two and a half slices of sickly colored mozzarella. The slices do not cover the entire surface and are clearly not melted.

“If it was more than $3.50 you were robbed,” someone commented.

TheIndustrialMachine responded to this comment, revealing, to the horror of other users, that they had paid $12.

‘[The] box was sealed and I didn’t get to see it before I bought it. I ate it anyway,’ they wrote, before adding: ‘Not many places to eat in G terminal at MIA.’

According to Miami New TimesThe Central Terminal includes halls E, E satellite, F and G, where the user claimed they were.

A Yelp user named Ben H. wrote a venomous review about the restaurant’s tragic pizza.

“Probably the worst pizza ever,” he wrote. “It looked like a pizza box cardboard with melted cheese on it. Makes Little Caesars look like 5 stars.”

“And for $12?” he continued. “In retrospect, I wouldn’t have eaten this pizza if they were giving it away.”
