America’s dirtiest neighborhoods that have the most complaints about filth exposed – and they’re all spread across just two cities

America’s dirtiest neighborhoods have been exposed by the number of residents’ complaints — and they’re shockingly spread across just two cities.

Baltimore, Maryland and Sacramento, California have the dirtiest zip codes in the country, according to a survey HouseFresh, an indoor air quality company, which analyzed 12.3 million sanitation complaints.

Seven of the ten counties with the most complaints are in Baltimore, six of which rank first. The zip code 21213 in the center of the city receives the most complaints in the country: 89,391 per 100,000 inhabitants.

“With a staggeringly high complaint rate per 100,000 residents, there appears to be a gap between community needs and the cleanliness of the city,” the study says.

Sacramento, in turn, is home to three counties that made the list, including the Land Park neighborhood, which came in seventh, with 48,864 complaints from 100,000 citizens.

Sacramento is home to California’s largest river, according to the study, and its waters are among the most polluted in the country, according to a recent report by The Environmental Integrity Project.

Meanwhile, the conservatively-oriented Friendswood in Houston, Texas, is considered the cleanest neighborhood in the country, with just 19 complaints.

The city is the fourth largest city in the country and Mayor Sylvester Turner has been praised for his management.

In addition, four other Houston counties made the list with the fewest complaints.

“This adds to the city’s number of accolades, including its affordable cost of living and thriving job market,” the study said.

As the study shows, experts say 60 percent of a person’s health is determined by their zip code.

The study analyzed 311 complaints about sanitary conditions over the past year.
