America’s most dangerous twins: One murdered an 70-year-old woman by backing car off a bridge with her inside before setting fire to a family’s house, then killing jail inmate while other stabbed a wrestling opponent

A pair of twins will spend a total of 70 years behind bars after one killed a woman after reversing her car off a bridge while she was inside it, and another stabbed and killed a man after an argument.

Kalup and Christopher Born, both now 25, were taken into custody following separate incidents dating back to 2016 and 2017.

Christopher is currently serving 20 years in prison after pleading no contest to the first-degree manslaughter death of Alonzo Miller in May 2016.

His brother Kalup was sentenced last week to more than 50 years in prison on charges of burglary, kidnapping and the January 2017 murder of Brenda Carter.

The Oklahoman previously reported how the couple’s father, who is from Ada, Oklahoma, Christopher Allen Born and their uncle Mark Edward Born have also had previous brushes with the law. Mark is currently in prison for manslaughter.

Kalup was arrested in connection with a series of crimes that occurred after he was asked to leave a fraternity party.

After being kicked, he walked down the block and entered a house where he kidnapped Brenda Carter with a butcher knife he stole from her kitchen.

He then forced the 70-year-old into her car and drove off, before reversing off a bridge on State Highway 99 South, leaving the vehicle partially submerged.

After dumping the car on the ground, he forced her out of the vehicle and into a ravine, where he left her with a pelvic fracture and a ruptured bladder.

It was later determined that she died after suffering multiple traumatic injuries after being pushed from the car. Her death was listed as a homicide.

Carter later died from her injuries sustained in the incident, during which Kalup then broke into another house and then set fire to another house.

In a plea deal, seen by Ada newsKalup said he entered the house to steal a car and set the house’s garage on fire after failing to find the cars.

In the other house, he made off with a blanket, a knife, a wallet and some electronics.

Officers quickly caught up with him after he was spotted wandering down a state highway.

In December 2020, while held on charges of the crime, he murdered fellow inmate Billy Joe Johnson in what prosecutors described as a “brutal and sustained attack.”

In June 2022, a federal jury convicted him at trial on one count of voluntary manslaughter.

Last April, he repeatedly stabbed an inmate at the county jail with a homemade knife and tried to throw him over a railing.

Earlier this year, he entered guilty pleas to one count of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of possession of contraband in jail.

His twin brother Christopher is seven years into his 20-year sentence after the Miller stabbing.

Ada News reported that several people had been in the home when the two allegedly got into an argument outside the house.

Several people at the address said Miller returned holding his stomach and said he had been stabbed.

Police came to the house and found him bleeding profusely on the floor, and died after surgery to stop the internal bleeding.

Officials told the newspaper at the time that Born was later found in the house, covered in blood and lying on a bed, pretending to be asleep.

According to an affidavit seen by the outlet, Born had been drinking alcohol and told authorities he could not remember anything.

The twins’ father, Christopher Allen Born, has previously been in trouble with the law over drunk driving charges and a 2008 possession complaint.

While their uncle Mark Edward Born is currently serving 40 years in prison on a 1999 manslaughter charge.

Speaking about Kalup’s recent conviction for the murder of Brenda Carter, her son Jay KXII: ‘We’ve had this hanging over our heads for so long, the doubt about when the system would ever give us our day.

“In my victim impact statement, I was finally able to express my peace and express my anger and frustration of these seven long years.”

Edward J. Gray, FBI Special Agent in Charge in Oklahoma City, said, “The crimes committed by Born are heartbreaking and there is no doubt that the conviction is fair.

‘Born decided to continue his life of crime even while in prison. He clearly didn’t learn his lesson and continued to terrorize the lives of others.

“The FBI is grateful to the law enforcement authorities who assisted in this investigation and led to Born’s conviction.”

United States Attorney Christopher J. Wilson said, “Born has proven to be a threat to society, both inside and outside the walls of the prison system.

“This sentence ensures that he will spend a substantial part of his life, if not all, behind those walls where his actions are as limited as possible.”

Born will remain in the custody of U.S. Marshals pending transportation to a States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve his non-parole sentence.

His case was originally dismissed following the McGirt Supreme Court ruling due to his tribal status.

The Supreme Court ruled that cases involving tribal members on tribal lands cannot be tried in state court.
