Americans support an impeachment inquiry against Joe Biden by a clear 12-point margin, with six in 10 believing the president was likely improperly involved in his son Hunter's business deals, a damning new DailyMail.com poll shows.
When voters were asked to use one word to describe Hunter, 53, the top answer was “corrupt.” Other popular responses included 'evil', 'criminal', 'crook' and 'guilty'.
The stark results showing most voters believe Biden was linked to Hunter's foreign business dealings come as Republicans prepare to launch their formal impeachment inquiry.
Hunter was also spotted out for lunch in Los Angeles on Wednesday as he faces a slew of tax-related charges in California over allegations that he failed to pay more than $1.4 million to the IRS.
The Republican Party has threatened to charge Hunter with contempt of court for defying a subpoena to testify behind closed doors in their investigation.
On Wednesday, they demanded that the White House turn over any communications showing Joe's involvement in the effort to evade the order.
The White House has maintained that Joe never “did business” with Hunter or benefited financially from his deals, but their shifting defense has raised suspicions.
And since early 2023, Republicans have compiled a growing dossier of evidence that they plan to use in the impeachment inquiry.

In the poll, JL Partners asked 1,000 likely voters a series of questions about Biden's impeachment inquiry and about Hunter.
The results showed that 47 percent said they “strongly or somewhat” support the study, while 35 percent oppose it and 17 percent are unsure.
Even among Democrats, 22 percent strongly or somewhat support the survey.
Meanwhile, 58 percent of all voters say President Biden was likely “inappropriately” involved in his son's business dealings, and 33 percent say he was not.
Even a third of Democrats say it is very likely that Biden was improperly involved in Hunter's lucrative deals with foreign businessmen.
It comes as House impeachment investigators are locked in a battle with Hunter and his lawyers over bringing the first son to testify on Capitol Hill.
House Oversight Chairman James Comer and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan have subpoenaed Hunter and demanded he come in for closed-door testimony before he is given a chance to speak to the full committee in front of the cameras.
Hunter, meanwhile, has insisted he will appear alone for a public statement.

The poll found that more Americans agree with the Republican position that Hunter should first speak to them privately.
It shows that 49 percent say he should attend the hearing behind closed doors, while 32 percent say he is right to insist on open doors, while 19 percent say they don't know.
Republicans plan to hold a vote to hold Hunter in contempt of Congress for defying their subpoena.
Earlier this month, he was charged with nine new tax fraud charges brought by the Justice Department.
The case alleges that Hunter was involved in a four-year, $1.4 million tax evasion scheme.
All nine charges relate to taxes, including two charges of filing a false tax return, one charge of tax evasion, four of failure to pay charges and another two charges of failure to file returns. The costs cover the tax years 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Hunter will be charged in the case and make his first court appearance on January 11.
In the impeachment inquiry, Republicans also plan to bring in Hunter's associates Rob Walker, Eric Schwerin, Tony Bobulinski and Kevin Morris.
They also hope to receive emails written by Joe Biden using pseudonyms that the Republican Party says the National Archives cannot provide.
The National Archives has already turned over tens of thousands of documents to the Republicans in the House of Representatives.
Republicans continue to investigate the president's involvement in his son's business dealings abroad.
They point out that Biden has pressured Ukraine to fire prosecutor Viktor Shokin – who investigated energy company Burisma, where Hunter sat on the board.
Democrats labeled Hunter “troubled” and “evil” when asked to describe him, while both independents and Republicans said he was “corrupt”

The DOJ, FBI, IRS and National Archives have made nine witnesses available to discuss ongoing investigations, and the Treasury Department has made available 2,000 pages of suspicious activity reports.
The Oversight Committee also collected and examined more than 37,000 pages of bank records and hours of whistleblower testimony.
But Republicans insist there is more to see.
They demand more information about the 82,000 emails sent by Joe Biden under a pseudonym, which concern both official and family businesses.
And they're looking for more information on Hunter's 2014 and 2015 taxes.
