‘This really made me love fast fashion when I lived in the United States. I gave it up when I moved to Paris!’

And seeing how other Parisians dressed on their days off inspired Nina when it came to her own style.

She explained that people living in France always make an effort to look their best, while in the United States there isn’t as much emphasis on the clothes you wear.

‘The universal expectation that you do your best to look ‘nice’ when you leave your house.

‘No matter how fashionable Lululemon and Patagonia seem to us, you will never see athleisure on the streets of Paris.

‘This made me become more creative with my personal style because I had more excuses to prepare properly!’ the fashionista revealed to DailyMail.com.

Before moving to Paris, the influencer believed that fashion and beauty should be bold and make a statement.

She explained, β€œWhen I went to school in Southern California, I had a very contrasting view of what was considered beautiful and stylish.

‘California is about a flashy, very jazzed-up version of ourselves, where the French style is more discreet. I try to draw from both to keep it interesting!’

The singer-songwriter also shared advice for Americans looking to boost their style.

She told DailyMail.com: ‘It would be really cool if we, as Americans, would stop putting so much emphasis on using fast fashion to keep up with trends. It’s okay to have less clothes.

“I look and feel so much better when I wear quality clothes, and it’s totally fine to be an outfit repeater!”
