US star Noah Lyles involved in dramatic buggy crash on track ahead of 200m semifinals at Budapest World Championships

American star Noah Lyles was involved in a dramatic crash shortly before his semi-final in the men’s 200 meters at the World Championships in Budapest.

Lyles and the rest of the field for the first semi-final were being carted from the warm-up/hold area to the track in buggies when their vehicle collided with another vehicle.

The massive shunt was so strong that the driver of one of the buggies knocked out of his seat and onto the ground. The individual managed to get back up and walk away.

Jamaican star Andrew Hudson was also seen holding his face after the incident.

World Athletics has been asked to comment on the incident.
