American singer-songwriter Hank Williams Jr. married his girlfriend Brandi on Saturday, just months after getting engaged earlier this year.
The 74-year-old country star – son of music legend Hank Williams – married his 43-year-old partner in an intimate ceremony in Alabama.
The happy news was confirmed in a statement on the groom’s Facebook page, which read: “Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Hank Williams Jr.! Hank and Brandi were married on September 9, 2023 at Enon Baptist Church in Banks, Alabama, in front of a small group of family and friends.”
The statement added that the couple have been friends for more than 20 years, explaining: ‘They got engaged on Mother’s Day earlier this year. The bride and groom have known each other and been friends since 2003.”
The engagement was confirmed on September 4, just days before the couple exchanged vows.

The star was previously married to Mary Jane Thomas for 32 years, but he was left heartbroken following her death in March 2022.
Mary Jane, 58, died of a collapsed lung just a day after undergoing liposuction and removing her breast implants.
The former model underwent the surgery, which included liposuction on her back, arms and stomach, on March 21 TMZ reported.
According to the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner, she was found unconscious the next day by her plastic surgeon in her hotel room at the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa.
Her death, which was caused by an injury sustained during the cosmetic surgery procedure, has been ruled an accident by the coroner.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Harold Bafitis, who performed the procedure, told investigators that she reacted while sitting up in bed as he was about to have a follow-up with her.
She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The couple were parents to 26-year-old son Sam and daughter Katherine, who died in a car crash in June 2020 at the age of 27.

Upon her death, Williams said in a statement on Instagram: “She gave me 38 wonderful years. Her kind spirit and beautiful and endearing love live on in the hearts of our son Sam, grandsons Beau and Tennyson, and granddaughter Audrey Jane.
“Of course she will be forever missed and loved by so many.”
Still, it seems the star has found love again as his now wife Brandi made her Instagram debut on Hank’s account in January when the pair posed together with a deer.
The singer confirmed the engagement on The Pure Hank Radio Facebook page, writing, “Newly engaged outlaw country music and Southern rock legend Hank Williams, Jr. next to his beautiful and sweet fiancée Brandi.’
