McDonald’s Australia shocks American | Daily Mail Online
An American woman has put Australia’s McDonald’s to the test as she reveals the differences between the food Down Under and that in her home country.
Darcy McQueeny, 22, wore a green and gold Australia t-shirt and a matching cap as she visited a McDonald’s in Sydney with a group of friends.
The Chicago resident, who has 1.6 million followers on social media, was happy when she discovered she could order her items from a self-service kiosk.
She ordered a McChicken with a steamed bun, a vanilla cola, chicken nuggets, a chicken snack wrap and a cheeseburger, spending a total of $42.50.
‘The menu is so different. So expensive,” she said in shock
‘They have so many shawls. They have grilled cheese!’
She said McDonald’s restaurants in Australia are much nicer than in the United States.

The influencer first tried the McChicken, which she said was “drier” than those in the United States, before moving on to the fries.
“So salty, so fresh, amazing,” she said.
‘Vanilla cola, incredibly delicious. Chicken Snack Wrap. I wish we had this in the US.”
She chose to dip her chicken nuggets in Sweet N’ Sour sauce.
“Better than the US,” she said.
Mrs. McQueeny then completed the taste test by trying the humble cheeseburger.
“Tastes exactly the same, still good,” she said.
“I think Australian McDonald’s wins.”
The influencer, who has 1.6 million followers on TikTok, said Aussie McDonald’s was better
Both Australians and Americans shared their thoughts on her review.
“We beg for the snack wrapper, but they refuse to give us the snack wrapper. Let’s steal some,” wrote one American.
“All Aussie Maccas are better than anywhere else,” a second commented.
“I’m officially jealous of Australians,” wrote a third.
A fourth said: ‘As an Australian I have never had Maccas that taste better than ours. I’ve been all over the world, but our food quality is pretty high.”
