American parent is left shocked by The Wiggles’ very rude gesture on kids’ TV show: ‘That got my attention!’
An American parent is shocked after The Wiggles committed an unexpected and very rude act on television.
The mum, who goes by the name The Final Rebrand on TikTok, shared a video on the social media platform revealing the surprising moment that ‘caught her attention’.
In the footage, the group sang the popular children’s song Where Is Thumbkin, with each finger given a name and the poem leading a conversation between the characters.
However, when the song got to the ‘where is tall man’ part of the song, the unfortunate miscommunication occurred.
The tall man in the song is represented by the middle finger and the parent confused the action with The Wiggles ‘flipping the bird’.
The parent zoomed in on Yellow Wiggle Tsehay Hawkins who made the seemingly rude gesture with a cheerful smile on her face as she shared her shock.

The poster suggested Tsehay was enjoying her furtive bird flights, as they lightheartedly wrote, “Tsehay meant that.”
She shared her shock at the seemingly rude gesture, adding in a caption, “Welp…that got my attention.”
The hilarious post received a flood of reactions, with many similarly shocked parents expressing their surprise.
“The Wiggles flipping the bird wasn’t on my 2024 bingo card,” one wrote, while another interjected: “Wiggles just flipped us.”
Another fan claimed that it wasn’t the first time they had witnessed The Wiggles playing a prank on their parents, with Captain Feathersword being the culprit.
“I was watching an episode with my baby and Captain Feathersword called out to all of us, ‘now moms who are only here for the purple man,’” they said, referring to “Hot” Purple Wiggle John Pearce.
One Australian commentator said the alleged double entender was water off a duck’s back to locals who grew up watching Play School.
“They’re an Australian group, so the original Wiggles grew up watching John, Noni and Benita on Play School… which was full of parent jokes,” they said.

In 2016, Play School stalwart Noni Hazlehurst revealed that she and co-host John Hamblin would make a few jokes for the adults in an attempt to make everyone happy.
The swearing ‘controversy’ comes as Wiggles star John prepares to become a father for the first time.
John and Jessie, who tied the knot in 2019, confirmed they were expecting their first child in June.
The announcement was accompanied by a touching video on Instagram of the emotional moment they discovered Jessie was pregnant and confirmed they were having a baby boy.
“It’s been a long journey, but our beautiful angel has finally been sent to us,” they wrote in the post.
They are now counting down the last days until they welcome their baby boy, who is expected this month.
