An American musician has hit out at ‘hostile and ‘s****y’ Australian fans after being forced to leave his set 25 minutes early while performing at a major festival.

Marc Rebillet was performing at the all-ages Listen Out festival in Adelaide on Friday evening when he was pelted with assault and projectiles by attendees waiting for the headline act, US rapper Ice Spice, to take the stage.

Disturbing footage that has since gone viral shows festival goers abusing Rebillet as he mingled and shared his microphone with the crowd.

“Get off that damn stage,” someone shouted.

Another shouted, “You’re a nonce. “F*** off and get Ice Spice.”

The footage shows bottles and other projectiles being hurled at Rebillet as he is led to safety by guards.

“I got decimated tonight playing for Ice Spice,” Rebillet tweeted afterwards.

“This was before they started throwing shit.”

‘I don’t blame them at all, they’re just kids and my set got in the way of their Munch. Still quite crazy to experience! I hope they become cooler adults.”

He was flooded with messages of support from fans and fellow musicians.

‘Marc, you deserved so much better. I am so ashamed and disgusted by the lack of respect this new generation has. Titled brats. Learn to appreciate music,” one fan posted on TikTok.

The New York-based YouTube streamer and electronic musician, originally from Texas, is known for his musical acts that he performs in a bathrobe and underwear while surfing.

He is currently embarking on his second Australian tour in a few months.

Rebillet revealed earlier this year that a fan almost stuck a finger up his ass during a gig in Brisbane.

“So far, it hasn’t been a problem until recently,” he told The Project in January.

‘Well, then in Bris – Brissy? Bris Vegas? – someone tried to finger my ass.’

The panelists burst into laughter and gasps before apologizing for the fans’ behavior.

‘It’s absolutely fine. It’s fine,” Rebillet replied with a big grin.
