American Horror Story fans threaten to boycott 12th season after Kim Kardashian is cast

American Horror Story fans have threatened to boycott the show after Kim Kardashian announced she would be joining the season 12 cast.

The mother of four, 42, posted the surprise news to her Instagram page Monday morning, via a teaser trailer she shared, which was also posted to the official American Horror Story Instagram.

But not everyone was thrilled about the surprising news, and many die-hard fans responded to the comments to complain about the casting.

They even threatened to skip the season entirely to avoid watching Kim, calling the announcement a “true horror story.”

One said, ‘Starring Kim Kardashian? Wtf did I just read? That’s the most horrifying part of the entire AHS franchise.”

Another said, ‘Phew, thanks for the heads up! Now I know I have to skip this season altogether.”

A third agreed, writing, “Nobody asked for Kim, think it’s going to be a real horror story.”

A fourth reiterated, “I will not support a Kardashian/Jenner business and this counts. I’m ready’.

While a fifth begged, “Please don’t do this.”

And a sixth wrote, “If there’s a Kardashian in it, I’m officially giving up on this show.”

The complaints come despite the fact that American Horror Story has a long history of casting celebrities over the years.

One of Lady Gaga’s first acting roles was the Countess, a blood-sucking vampire in AHS: Hotel.

And the series has also seen guest appearances from supermodel Naomi Campbell, singer Steve Nicks and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.

Some people defended Kim and said, ‘I’ll give it a try and see what Kim can do. I was pleasantly surprised with Lady Gaga in Hotel, so we’ll see. Glad Emma’s back!’

The ominous clip didn’t depict Kim, but it had eerie music that read, “AHS12. Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian are delicate. This summer.’

The clip showed a hint of a female figure in the background, but it’s not known if it was supposed to represent her or Emma.

However, Kim has not disclosed in what capacity or whether she plays herself The Hollywood Reporter revealed details shortly after the star shared the announcement.

The outlet revealed that the 12th season of the show will be called Delicate and will be based on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming novel called Delicate Condition.

The book is about a woman who is convinced that someone sinister is preventing her pregnancy from happening.

The outlet reported that the season will be written by Halley Feiffer, who will also serve as showrunner.

In a statement to THR, AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy said, “Kim is one of the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family.”

Adding: “Emma and I are excited about partnering with this true force in culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we’ve ever done.”

Emma previously starred on AHS from 2013 to 2019 during season three, season four, season seven, and season eight; she played Madison Montgomery, Maggie Esmerelda, Serena Belinda and Brooke Thompson.

Emma liked Kim’s post that she shared to announce the news.

Kim voiced the character of Delores for Paw Patrol: The Movie, which was released in 2021, and reprized the role for Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, set for release sometime later this year.

She also appeared in Ocean’s Eight in 2018, 2 Broke Girls in 2014, voiced a character in American Dad! in 2014, Ava starred in the project Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor and as Nikki LePree in Drop Dead Diva in 2012 for four episodes.

She played herself on 30 Rock in 2012, Princess Leia in Alligator Boots in 2009, Debbie Fallon on CSI: NY in 2009, Brothers in 2009, Summa Eve in Deep in the Valley in 2009, Elle in Beyond the Break in 2009, herself on How I Met Your Mother in 2009, the short film Meow in 2008 and as Lisa in Disaster Movie in 2008.

Kim has starred in a number of music videos, including Christina Milian’s Dip It Low in 2004, Fall Out Boy’s Thnks fr th Mmrs in 2007, Nicki Minaj’s Come on a Cone in 2012, ex-husband Kanye West’s Bound 2 in 2013, Fergie’s MILF$ video in 2016 and Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike vs. Paris Hilton for Best Friend’s A**.

Kim stars in Hulu’s The Kardashians series, which premieres season three on Thursday, May 25.

Prior to the Hulu series, Kim starred in Keeping Up With The Kardashians for 114 episodes – 20 seasons – from 2015 to 2021.

Kim was also a host on Saturday Night Live in 2021, which eventually led to a relationship with Pete Davidson for almost a year.

Kim has also made her mark in the music industry with her song Jam (Turn it Up) in 2012.

Kim runs the highly successful lingerie, shapewear, loungewear and sleepwear brand SKIMS, which she founded in 2019.

She also founded SKKN by Kim, a skin care brand; she is currently reworking her KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance brands with no known relaunch date.
