American Horror Stories, Family Guy’s Halloween special and more new TV for your week

Halloween is almost on us; if you’re the kind of person who gets involved, Halloween is possible parties are already lurking. And if you’re not already figuring out your costumes (or, depending on the craftsmanship you put into making your costume, when you are), there’s a veritable slate of spooky-themed programs this week on the new TV. Plus The Lincoln LawyerThe third season of which will be released this week on Netflix.

The Lincoln Lawyer season 3

The episodic American horror story spinoff is back. As with most things AHS (take your pick) the lead-up is a bit mysterious – but from the trailer we know we have a great line-up: gnomes, clones, “the thing under the bed” and probably more. Henry Winkler and Victor Garber will be there! And if you don’t like it, there’s always the next episode that will hopefully improve.

Family Guy Halloween Special

It’s not quite the seasonal tradition The Simpsons‘Treehouse of Horror ‘ lineup, and not even the Halloween sagas of the Bob’s Burgers children (and parents). But Family guy is here with a new Halloween special – released well before Halloween, so you won’t have to miss out on your festivities – and it features a major guest star: the Touch man himself, Glen Powell.

It’s the eighties; a beloved small-town varsity quarterback has disappeared, and religious groups are beginning to wake up to the moral impurity threatening the children. That’s really bad timing for nerdy high school student Dylan (Emjay Anthony), who was Finally gaining some traction with his heavy metal band by capitalizing on the sudden increase in interest in the occult. With a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings and strange events gripping the city, satanic panic and hysteria are gaining momentum. And Hysteria! is all the better for it.
