LA born and raised rapper Doja Cat, and the multi-talented Olivia Rodrigo, are set to battle it out at the pointy end of the Australian youths’ favorite music countdown, the triple J Hottest 100.
According to Aussie bookmaker comparison site (My Betting Sites), all the online bookmaker’s down under offering triple J Hottest 100 Odds, have both the solo American female acts with odds to win the countdown at 3.00 or under, with no clear favorite. The next closest artist according to the odds is Australian Producer Dom Dolla, who’s lowest odds are 3.60.

The last time a US artist won the countdown was back in 2019, which was Billie Eilish with her most commercially successful song to date, Bad Guy.
Since the countdown began doing singular year countdowns back in 1993, only seven US artists have managed to come first in the triple J Hottest 100 countdown, which are:

2002: Queens of the Stone Age – No One Knows
2008: Kings of Leon – Sex on Fire
2012: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Ft. Wanz – Thrift Shop
2017: Kendrick Lamar – Humble
2019: Billie Eilish – Bad Guy
