American Airlines plane skids off the runway at snowy upstate New York airport

An American Airlines plane skidded off the runway onto the grass at New York’s Rochester Airport while landing, according to passengers on board.

The plane arrived from Philadelphia and was scheduled to land around 4 p.m. before reportedly skidding off the runway amid snowy conditions.

No injuries have been reported, but emergency services are on site.

‘My AmericanAir plane just ran off the runway into the grass at @ROCAirport. Happy landings,” one passenger wrote on X.
