American actor Patrick Wilson on filming movies Down Under

Why American actor Patrick Wilson relives not having to film the latest Insidious movie Down Under

Popular American actor Patrick Wilson has filmed multiple movies in Australia.

But the 50-year-old star has admitted he’s relieved he didn’t have to go Down Under to film his latest movie, Insidious: The Red Door.

“If it were up to my kids, we’d probably be here by now,” he told the Herald Sun with a laugh.

“I have nothing but love for the Aussies, but to be honest, as great as it is, I think going somewhere on the other side of the world for six months is hard for the rest of your life,” he continued.

“I feel like I’ve done that flight way too many times,” the star ended.

Despite his reluctance, Wilson admitted that one day he would like to return Down Under for another project.

Since appearing in the first Insidious film in 2010, Wilson has built a strong bond with Australian horror franchise creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell.

Wilson is currently promoting the Australian release of Insidious: The Red Door, which is currently playing in cinemas across the country.
