According to experts, AMD has been the victim of a data breach that has compromised internal communications and sensitive employee information.
Criminal organizations IntelBroker and EnergyWeaponUser were blamed for the attack. The stolen data was believed to be sensitive employee information, such as user credentials, internal solutions, and case descriptions.
The data was listed on the dark web marketplace BreachForums and is said to have come from a “mix of sources.”

That’s not all, as IntelBroker has claimed to be behind several alleged attacks in recent months, namely Europol And T-Mobilewith sensitive data repeatedly offered for sale. Both affected organizations denied that they had been compromised and maintained that their infrastructure was perfectly intact. AMD itself has not verified or commented on the attacks, but has acknowledged the claims,
“We are aware of a cybercriminal organization claiming to be in possession of stolen AMD data,” the statement said, adding: “We are working closely with law enforcement officials and a third-party hosting partner to investigate the claim and the significance of the data.”
With more confirmed attacks earlier this year targeting the Pentagon, the FBI, and Facebook Marketplace, IntelBroker has built a reputation as a malicious and powerful cybercriminal group.
AMD was reportedly hit by the same group in a similar data breach in June 2024, which reportedly involved the collection of employee data, such as phone numbers, email addresses and financial documents.
As with all data breaches, this has put affected parties at risk of identity theft, phishing attacks, and financial loss. Everyone involved needs to remain vigilant and best protection against identity theft on offer.
