Amber Heard speaks out about Blake Lively’s Justin Baldoni claims as celebs pick sides in viral feud

Amber Heard has spoken out about Blake Lively’s accusations that her co-star Justin Baldoni launched a smear campaign against her, saying it’s something she’s seen “firsthand.”

Heard, 38, discussed the situation with the It Ends With Us leads after it emerged that Baldoni, 40, had hired the same crisis management team as Heard’s ex-husband Johnny Depp during their defamation trial.

Lively, 37, has filed a legal complaint against Baldoni alleging sexual harassment, promoting a hostile work environment and attempting to damage her reputation.

The documents say Baldoni has retained powerhouse PR manager Melissa Nathan, who also represented Depp during the defamation trial in which he was awarded $15 million after a jury found Heard had defamed him.

Heard filed a counterclaim and was awarded $2 million in damages as part of the high-profile proceedings that saw her tumultuous relationship with Depp, 61, publicly dissected.

“Social media is the absolute personification of the classic saying: ‘A lie travels halfway around the world before the truth can put its shoes on,’” Heard said. NBC news.

‘I have seen this with my own eyes and up close. It is as horrifying as it is destructive.”

Heard was sued by Depp over allegations that she fabricated claims of domestic violence to further her career after she published an op-ed in the Washington Post outlining her allegations.

Lively served her former co-star and director with legal documents over the weekend.

The documents contain dozens of messages between Nathan and Baldoni’s publicist Jennifer Abel in which they appear to discuss a strategy to raise their client’s profile while reveling in the bad press Lively received.

This included articles accusing Lively of taking a “tone deaf” approach to the film’s themes of domestic violence, after she failed to mention the issue during several interviews.

The actress reportedly wants to market the film as a more uplifting and inspirational story, compared to Baldoni who felt domestic violence should be at the forefront of the promotional campaign.

Around the time these articles appeared, Lively’s old interviews also began to resurface, in which she was labeled rude and a “mean girl” for the seemingly dismissive way she responded to questions.

Among them was an awkward encounter with journalist Kjersti Flaa, where a visibly pregnant Lively seemed to take offense to Flaa referring to her baby bump.

In her complaint, Lively alleges that Baldoni fostered a toxic work environment on the set of their film, with the director showing her nude videos and images of other women and discussing his previous alleged porn addiction.

She alleged that Baldoni asked inappropriate questions about her weight, comments about her late father and sexual comments about the cast and crew.

The situation became so unworkable that she and her husband demanded crisis calls during filming to put a stop to the behavior, the lawsuit said.

She also requested ‘no more addition of sex scenes, oral sex or climaxes on camera by BL [Blake Lively] beyond the scope of the script approved by BL at the signing of the project,” the filing said.

The demands were reportedly accepted by the studio, but the film’s release was still hampered by their feud.

Baldoni has now hit back, claiming that Lively only filed the lawsuit to restore her reputation in the wake of the negative press she received following the film’s release.

Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman called the legal action “false, outrageous and deliberately lascivious with the intent to publicly injure.”

He insisted Lively is trying to “repair her negative reputation” after rumors spread of diva-like behavior during filming.

This included ‘threatening not to show up on set’ [and] threatening not to promote the film, which ultimately led to its demise during its release,” Freedman said.
