Amber Heard is seen using crutches in Madrid after injuring her hip while training for the annual NYC Marathon

Amber Heard was seen hobbling on crutches after suffering a painful hip injury while training for the New York City Marathon, which takes place in November.

On Friday, the Aquaman star, 37, smiled in spite of all the pain as she trudged down the street next to her sister, Whitney Henriquez, who pushed her sleeping two-year-old niece, Oonagh Paige, into a stroller.

Despite taking a step back from her vigorous workouts, the actress appeared in high spirits as she waved to onlookers and chatted with local paparazzi, who inquired about how she was injured.

She did her best to beat the humidity in a sleeveless black maxi dress, paired with Chloé white linen slippers, and her hair in a sleek bun.

Heard styled her relaxed look with hoop earrings, an Apple Watch with a gold strap and multiple necklaces.

Her younger sibling had the same haircut as Heard and a deep black mini dress.

Both Heard and Henriquez both wore minimal makeup on their last field trip together.

Heard’s latest sighting comes just two weeks after Australia quietly dropped a case against her in mid-2015 over the illegal importation of her dogs Pistol and Boo into the country.

Earlier this year, the Texan resident moved to Spain’s central capital following her highly publicized defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp.

In May, DailyMail.com confirmed that Heard had “left Hollywood and quietly moved to Spain” with her little girl.

“She is bilingual in Spanish and is happy there, because she can raise her daughter away from all the noise,” revealed a friend of the artist.

The insider continued, “I don’t think she’s in a rush to get back to work or to Hollywood, but she’ll probably be back when the time comes for the right project.”

The mother-of-one sold her home in Yucca Valley, California, in July 2022 for $1.1 million (nearly double what she paid for it).

Heard hasn’t worked since filming Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom in 2021, and a modestly budgeted thriller, In The Fire, last spring. (Finally, the Aquaman movie comes out at the end of this year.)

Ouch! Despite taking a step back from her vigorous workouts, the actress appeared in high spirits as she waved to onlookers and chatted with local paparazzi, who inquired about how she was injured.

Heard’s daughter was born a year before the Depp v. Heard case, which centered on defamation allegations by both the actress and her former husband.

The couple was married from 2015 to 2017 and the Pineapple Express actress claimed that the Pirates Of The Caribbean star had engaged in physical violence during their marriage, which he denied.

Heard also had an op-ed published by The Washington Post in 2018, outlining how she felt as she spoke out about the alleged abuse she suffered during her marriage and negatively impacted her career.

The actress then sued News Group Newspapers for publishing several allegations about his marriage through The Sun in 2020, though he ultimately lost his case.

Depp then sued his ex-wife for libel over the op-ed in 2019, and she followed suit before their trial began last July.

In the end, it turned out that the Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas star had been defamed by his ex, while a single statement from his former lawyer Adam Waldman about the actress also turned out to be defamatory.

Although both parties appealed the verdicts, they dropped and settled the case last December, when it was decided that the actor would receive $1 million from his former wife’s insurance company.

Heard subsequently released a statement regarding the settlement, expressed via BBC that she had “lost faith in the American justice system.”
