Urgent Amber Alert issued after an eight-year-old girl was ‘abducted’ on the Sunshine Coast
Queensland Police have launched an urgent Amber Alert to locate an eight-year-old girl who was abducted on the Sunshine Coast and may be at significant risk.
A man, known to the child, was seen taking the girl from Beach Road in Maroochydore and putting her in a car before driving away at around 10.45am on Thursday.
The girl is described as having sandy blonde hair and wearing black and white plaid shorts, a navy blue shirt and white sandals.

Queensland police described the man as a man in his 40s, white, with a shaved head, slim build and wearing a dark shirt, black flip-flops and board shorts.
The vehicle is described as a dark blue Toyota Hilux with a silver tray with Queensland registration 156VBO.
They are believed to be in the Sunshine Coast area, including Noosa.
Anyone with information about the kidnapping is urged to call 131 564.

It is believed he put her in a dark blue Toyota Hilux with a silver tray with the Queensland registration 156VBO (pictured) and is still in the Sunshine Coast area.
