It's time to take our first steps into the wasteland with the new Prime Video Fallout series. After months of teasing and slow reveals, Prime Video has finally released the first teaser for the series, which shows off the wastelands of Los Angeles, the Brotherhood of Steel, and more. The series is scheduled for release on April 12, 2024.
The trailer begins, just like the games, with a vault dweller leaving the only home she's ever known and making her way into the wasteland. The trailer also gives us a glimpse at bits of Fallout iconography, like the Brotherhood of Steel and Ghouls, as well as a brief history lesson that shows us a time before nuclear weapons struck. But the real strength of the trailer is how well it fits the tone that fans of the games will immediately recognize. It's full of pitch-black humor, somber intrigue, and a little adventurous optimism thrown in for good measure.
Fallout is developed and written by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, the duo behind it Westworldand showrun by Graham Wagner (Portlandia) and Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel). The series stars Ella Purnell (Yellow jackets). Walton Goggins (Justified), and Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks).
