Amazon wants to help your business create images using AI
Amazon has joined the AI image generator battle with the launch of its own branded platform designed specifically for businesses.
The company unveiled Amazon Titan Image Generator at its AWS re:Invent 2023 event, joining Google, Adobe and OpenAI in offering a tool to create what it will be: “studio-quality realistic images or to create existing images improve using natural language cues”.
Part of the Amazon Titan family of AI generation tools, Image Generator can be trained on business-specific data, helping you learn exactly what kind of design your business is looking for, reducing long wait or development times.

Revealing the news as part of his keynote at AWS re:Invent 2023, Swami Sivasubramanian, VP of data and machine learning services at AWS, noted how the launch could be particularly useful for marketing or advertising campaigns, creating a series of options or evolutions become possible. of a particular image that must be captured and evaluated before a final choice is made.
In an onstage demo, Sivasubramanian showed how the tool can be used to swap the background of an image, as well as change the orientation of the image using natural language prompts, ideal for lifestyle images or marketing and advertising designers who are looking for a variety of options.
AWS says Titan Image Generator is trained on an unnamed but broad set of datasets across multiple domains, but can also be fine-tuned on custom datasets, and includes built-in solutions for toxicity and bias.
To allay fears of copyright violations, Sivasubramanian noted that all AI-generated images also come with an invisible watermark by default, which will hopefully help reduce misinformation and tampering.
Amazon Titan Image Generator is now available in preview for AWS customers on Amazon Bedrock.
