Move over Saw and Insidious, there’s a new horror movie in town.

And it’s so scary that Amazon Prime viewers can’t sleep after watching it.

The film is from the director of huge horror franchises, James Wan, who also did The Conjuring, Dead Silence, Lights Out and The Nun.

Evil is now making the rounds on the streaming platform, scaring off viewers brave enough to watch it.

The disturbing movie came out in 2021, and has received a 4/5 star rating on Amazon, with many die-hard horror fans saying it’s “hard to explain just how” scary it is.

Annabelle Wallis stars as Madison Mitchell in the film, who is haunted and left terrified by visions of the bloodthirsty murders of strangers

Viewers are shuddering after seeing the US thriller movie, which was originally due out in 2021

Annabelle Wallis stars as Madison Mitchell, haunted by visions of the bloodthirsty murders of strangers.

Later, Madison decides to find and rescue the victims.

However, as the film progresses, her fears worsen when she discovers that these waking dreams are in fact terrifying realities.

Fans of the film rushed to Twitter to share how scared they were.

One person commented on the social media site, “When I say I’m done with epic movies and only want to watch UNHINGED movies, I’m specifically talking about Malignant.”

And a second wrote, “Evil rewatch, this is probably the best movie ever made.”

Another said, “It’s one that’s hard to explain how scary it is without giving anything away.”

Another person said, “I can totally see the evil comparisons now because while it’s scary and terrifying, it’s also incredibly weird and filled with the right amount of horror camp.” This is one of those movies that I can’t wait to see over and over now. But I will never forget that first viewing!’

While other viewers just couldn’t believe the twist at the end, as one person wrote on Twitter, “The movie offers a twist so ridiculous I just had to applaud it.”

However, others weren’t sure if the movie was for them, and many were disappointed that the Australian filmmaker didn’t produce a top-grossing film like Annabelle or The Curse of La Llorona.

Fans of the movie rushed to share how scared they were on Twitter, but others were far from impressed by the horror

One person sad: “I like a bit of a scary movie, but we’ve seen Maligne and it’s one of the worst movies we’ve ever seen.”

While someone gave a mixed review, writing ‘This was definitely a bad James Wan movie until the last 30 minutes where it’s the best he’s ever seen on screen.

“I think he should let his wife write insane scripts more often, but someone else should direct it.”

And another wrote: ‘Haha OMG that was an amazing movie!! Not really scary, although I do wonder if I’ll have nightmares tonight because of the special effects. Reminded me a bit of the horror movies from the eighties.’
