Amazon is giving away games and DLC for Prime members

With the news of Amazon Prime Day returning on Tuesday, July 11 and then sticking around through July 12, the company announced some freebies that gamers who subscribe to the service should brag. The advantages have already started rolling out, and will continue to do so during the major shopping event. Allow me to go through them with you.

The first one Prey by Arkane Studios, launched in 2017 and one of the best games to date. Subscribers can now get their hands on a DRM-free version of the PC title, courtesy of GOG. Once you claim the game here, then copy the code that Amazon provides, click the GOG.com link to go to a “redeem code” page. Note: You need one of the free accounts to add the game to your library. You have until August 23 to claim the code on GOG.

If you’re a Prime subscriber, you can now also grab the influential isometric CRPG, Baldur’s Gate 2: Enhanced Edition, free. The game can be redeemed through the Amazon Games app.

When you play Overlook 2as a Prime subscriber you can now skip 5 levels in your battle pass regardless of the console you are playing on. On this page, link your Battle.net account if you haven’t already, and select “Get In-Game Content.” This perk will disappear on July 20, so be sure to grab it before then.

  • Shovel Knight Showdown on July 6 (redeemable through the Amazon Games app)
  • These extras are in addition to the games already available as part of Amazon’s free games with Prime benefit (I spy Steam world dig 2 there – get that one ASAP).

More in-game rewards are also coming ahead of Prime Day:

  • Diablo 4 players can get the Brackish Fetch mount bundle starting July 6.
  • For pokemon go players, you’ll get the exclusive “Time Research” content drop, with tasks that grant special rewards, including a pokemon go Fest t-shirt for your avatar. Amazon notes that this content won’t be available to non-Prime members until August 1.
