Amandla Stenberg stripped down to just her underwear as she posed for a storm in an array of skimpy underwear for Calvin Klein’s Let It Out campaign, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community.
While modeling the American fashion designer’s latest collection, the 24-year-old Dear Evan Hansen actress, who came out as gay in 2018, showed off her incredibly fit physique in a black sports bra and matching underwear.
In addition to changing several looks, including a white t-shirt and “Empower Each Other” t-shirt, the star slipped into dark wash jeans, which she kept open.
At one point, she flexed her muscular biceps at the camera, before playfully sticking her tongue out in another shot.
The Let It Out campaign was designed to ‘capture the energy of Pride through images that express the joy and freedom of being your most authentic self’.

In honor of LGBT Pride Month, celebrated in June, Calvin Klein has pledged to donate more than $220,000 USD in 2023 to non-governmental organizations including PFLAG National, ILGA World, Transgender Law Center and more.
In 2018, Stenberg admitted that she struggled with “internalized homophobia” before coming out as queer.
“Gender and sexuality are so changeable — it’s okay to change your mind a million times and figure out what works for you,” she told Seventeen. “It’s okay to take your time… I’ve been bisexual and people have known I’m queer for a long time.”
While she understood she preferred being intimate with women, she explained that it took her a while to figure out her true sexuality.
“I realized I had so much internalized homophobia and so much discomfort dealing with dudes. I always knew that when I hooked up with girls, I was happiest in any sexual dynamic,” she said.
However, she admitted that she was initially “afraid” to confront what she was, both on a personal and public level.

It was easier for me to say “I’m bi” or “I’m pan” while I was figuring it out. But I got to a place where I was really proud of my sexuality, and I decided I wanted to share that pride.”
At the time, Stenberg was romantically linked to musician King Princess, whose real name is Mikaela Straus
Stenberg, who went to prom with Jaden Smith in 2015, first came out during an interview with Wonderland.
“My sexuality isn’t a by-product of my past experiences with men I’ve loved, but rather a part of myself that I was born with and love deeply,” Amandla explains.

As a teenager, Stenberg released a powerful op-ed for Teen Vogue in which she detailed that she had been sexually assaulted on more than one occasion.
In the play, Amandla recalled the trauma and guilt she felt while on a train abroad looking for emergency contraception after a man she knew forced himself on her.
“What started as a consensual experience had become powerful,” she recalls.
“Painful things had been done to my body that left me feeling broken and disposable.
“I couldn’t agree and was verbally and physically silenced when I protested.”
The guy who did it wasn’t on birth control and texted her the next day recommending she find the morning-after pill.
Amandla wrote that she was embarrassed in the aftermath. She downplayed the attack in front of friends, feeling that admitting what it really was and how she really felt would make her weak.
