Amanda became a Lancome ambassador earlier this year when she teamed up with fellow actress Isabella Rosselini for a new campaign.
The pair came together to photograph the brand’s ‘La vie est belle’ campaign, which celebrates life and all that makes it beautiful.
“It was hard not to laugh the whole time,” Amanda said In style. ‘Laughing is good, but not if you also want to take serious beauty photos!’
The actresses bonded over their shared enthusiasm for life, their children and their farms.
“We were talking about goat rescues near her home in New York and how wild our chickens are,” Amanda added. “She seems so invested, so involved in the same way I am. One day I must visit her farm.’
The actresses come from different countries, eras and generations, but they had a unique shared trait: they both own farms.
“It’s incredibly grounding to be surrounded by nature and animals who live simply and without ego,” the Mean Girls star said. “Something happens to you when you spend a lot of time caring for them. You breathe a little slower, walk a little slower. There is peace there, a healing symbiosis.’
Isabella added, “Yes, the endless learning about nature.”

Isabella said: ‘I first became aware of her in the film Mamma Mia when she blew me away with her immense talent. She is beautiful. She can act, sing and dance. Personally, she struck me as very down-to-earth, very friendly and approachable.’
Amanda added: ‘Isabella and I share very similar values in the way we choose to live our lives. We both embrace our country, animals, family and philanthropy, as well as our chosen careers. It felt easy to connect with her right away, even though we come from very different backgrounds.”
