Amanda Holden has revealed she is ‘soaked’ as she gives an update on her grueling 250 mile charity ride.

The Heart Breakfast presenter, 53, started her mammoth cycling challenge from Cornwall to London on Monday.

But just two days into the five-day challenge, the weather is already proving to be a difficult obstacle for the mother of two.

In the snap, shared to Instagram, Amanda is seen curled up on a couch next to the fire, soaked in rain.

The star looked miserable as she took off her soaking wet socks and brought her feet closer to the flames to warm up.

“The weather is biblical… I’m really soaked, my bum, everything is wet,” she said in a voice note played with Pandora Christie on Heart this morning.

Amanda will cycle more than 250 miles in an effort to raise money for Global’s Make Some Noise.

The challenge started yesterday and will continue throughout the week as she travels through Somerset, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Surrey before reaching her destination on Friday.

The star revealed that she will be using ‘bum butter’ from the start of the trip to the end.

In an interview with The Sun’s Bizarre column, the radio presenter explained: ‘I have padded inserts and bum butter but that’s everyday for me.

‘I had never heard of butternut before, but now I have so many varieties.

She added: ‘We think we will burn 15,000 calories a day. I still have a Saganaki belly from my holiday in Corfu, so I’m doing this now for charity – and for weight loss. When I come back, I’ll be like Davina McCall. I will be torn.”

To prepare for the challenge on last week’s radio show, Amanda rode an exercise bike in her stilettos and glamorous outfit.

The ITV star previously said she would like a basket on the front of her bike for the bike ride as she would like to get snacks to keep her going.

She said: ‘I want a shopper with a basket and a gel saddle because if I want to stop for a snack at the local Spar in Bude, I will.’

Amanda continued, “I need snacks for energy purposes. But you know what, while I’m doing this, my thighs are touching my belly flap, so at least I can knead the flap away with my own thighs!’

Amanda is no stranger to tough challenges having previously completed the Three Peaks Challenge, a 3,000 meter skydive and climbing to the top of Blackpool Tower in support of Global’s Make Some Noise.

However, Amanda’s ‘big ride to work’ will be the furthest and longest Amanda has ever cycled.
