Bruno is believed to have joked that he was “scolded” during his first day of filming for the first day of the auditions on Tuesday.

The new judge, 67, had a busy first day at the London Palladium after taking up his new job when he rang the golden buzzer too early for an act.

And Bruno reportedly addressed the audience to joke that he’d already been “scolded” while enthusiastically saying how much he enjoyed being a judge.

Alesha Dixon, who joins him on panel with Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden, reportedly had to rein in Bruno because he got too emotional during auditions.

According to Sun, Bruno told the audience: ‘I’ve had a lot of fun, I’ve already been scolded. I’m lovin ‘it!’

It was claimed that Bruno had to be knuckle-knucked after he was unable to help himself from standing up during filming, with 44-year-old Alesha allegedly telling him to sit down.

It comes after it was reported that Bruno would triple the salary he received on Strictly Come Dancing by joining the ITV judging panel.

The former Strictly judge replaced David Walliams, who left the show last year, after ITV bosses who wanted comedian Alan Carr were overruled by boss Simon Cowell.

Bruno, who is said to be “delighted” to return to primetime Saturday night television in the UK, will now eclipse his former salary from Strictly co-stars three times over with his £850,000 pay package.

Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke are believed to earn £250,000 per series on the Strictly judging panel.
