Amanda Holden shouts ‘snowflakes and wakery’ as she praises Britain’s Got Talent comedian Markus Birdman for his edgy routine
Amanda Holden aimed for ‘snowflakes’ during Wednesday’s Britain’s Got Talent semi-final.
The 52-year-old judge praised comedian Markus Birdman who made sharp jokes about following children and also praised his 13-year-old daughter who played a prostitute in a play.
She gave her feedback, saying, “For all the snowflakes and all the wakery and everything else out there, I applaud you, because this is the way forward, not the other way around.”
During his set, Markus joked, “You don’t know paternal pride until you see your then 13-year-old daughter play a lady of the night and do it all right.”
He continued, “Are there women here? I don’t make jokes at the expense of women anymore, which is a shame, because I had some really good ones.’

He later spoke of “following your dreams,” jokingly, “Dreams are like children, if you follow them for too long, people get very suspicious.”
Markus then spoke of a stroke before making a joke at Judge Bruno Tonioli’s expense.
He joked, “A few years ago I could barely string together a sentence and it’s really great for Bruno to recreate that for me tonight.”
While Bruno took the joke to heart, one judge who was unimpressed with the routine was Simon Cowell, who pressed his buzzer during set.
Speaking of his decision as the crowd jeered, he said: ‘Why are you insulting me? You didn’t laugh.
That was the whole point. When we sit here, I usually gauge the reaction from what you hear behind us.
“Whether you’re a singer, dancer, comedian, and yes, and if you’re a comedian, how loud does the audience laugh?
“And compared to the comedian we had last night… not enough, which is why I called you.”
In the end, Markus did not receive enough votes from the public and was dropped from the competition.

Ghetto Kids and Travis George emerged triumphant afterwards beating stiff competition from guitarist Harry Churchill, magician Miki Dark, dance troupe Notorious, yo-yo experts Toy Toy Toy and vocalist Dylan B.
Ghetto Kids appeared to have won the semi-final by receiving the most public votes.
This left Travis up against Harry for a place in the final, which would be decided by the judges.
Alesha Dixon and Bruno both chose to forward Travis, while Amanda and Simon chose Harry.
This tie left the decision to the public vote, with hosts Ant and Dec revealing Travis as the winner.
The singer fell to the ground in shock and said to the audience, “Thank you for making me believe in myself again.”
