Amanda Holden and Ashley Roberts channel The Wizard of Oz while celebrating World Book Day
Celebrities and their families went all out for World Book Day on Thursday.
While the day is traditionally celebrated by children at school, Amanda Holden couldn’t resist the chance to dress up.
The 51-year-old TV personality even got her co-hosts Jamie Theakston and Ashley Roberts involved, as the trio dressed up as the characters from L. Frank Baum’s famous children’s novel The Wizard of Oz.
Amanda put on a leggy display in a blue gingham apron and donned the iconic red heels as she transformed into Dorothy Gale.
She styled her golden locks in pigtails and went for a glam makeup look as she posed with a woven basket.

Get into character: The TV personality, 51, even got her co-hosts Jamie Theakston and Ashley Roberts involved, as the trio dressed as the characters from L. Frank Baum’s famous children’s novel The Wizard of Oz.
Getting in on the act, Jamie dressed as The Tin Man and showbiz reporter Ashley looked unrecognizable as The Cowardly Lion as she posed in the Heart FM studio.
Ashley showed off her incredible figure in a skin-tight brown catsuit, while adding to her height with a pair of heels.
Sharing a playful snap with her Instagram followers, Amanda wrote: “I have a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.”
Meanwhile, Amanda’s youngest daughter Hollie, 11, looked fantastic as she posed dressed as the goth character on Wednesday.
Hollie rocked the costume that included an old-fashioned dress and a creepy hand on her head.
Helen Flanagan shared a sweet snap of her three children, Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and son Charlie, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair.
The newly single actress, 32, captioned the snap: “World Book Day 23rd ❤️ Wednesday Spider man and Stick man @scotty__sinclair x.”
Kerry Katona’s daughter, Dj, also dressed as the fan-favorite character on Wednesday.
Alongside a slew of snaps, the star wrote: ‘Today is book day for my DJ folks! My girl will go as Wednesday Adams!’
World Book Day is a registered charity that aims to give every child and young person a book of their own.
It also celebrates the work of authors, illustrators, books, and reading in general. A global celebration, it is honored in more than 100 countries around the world.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge hilariously participated in the viral challenge on her morning show alongside her hilarious co-host Ashley Roberts.
The Pickle Trend is where people try huge packaged pickles for a snack and Amanda got into Van Holten’s Hot Pickle on the air Wednesday morning.
Amanda seemed to be enjoying the challenge as she made a very cheeky comment while sampling the pickle while joking that she was “used to the bigger ones.”
Before trying the sandwich, he said, ‘It smells amazing… I’m going to drink the pickle juice.’ She tastes a bit like the sea but with chilli. Now let’s take a look at this baby.
To which Ashley replied, ‘Wow! That’s one big pickle potato! Oh my gosh, honey, that’s big.’
And Amanda replied, ‘I’m used to the bigger ones, I’m going to say… Oh my gosh, it’s beautiful. I like it a lot.’
The Pussycat Doll singer added: “I feel like you’re really enjoying this Amanda.”
