Amanda Bynes may have lived on the streets for “several days” leading up to her naked walk through Los Angeles and eventually being admitted to psychiatric care.
TMZ reports that the 36-year-old’s car was towed on March 15 in Long Beach, about 40 miles from her home and 25 miles from where she was seen in downtown LA
Long Beach sources revealed to the outlet that Bynes hitchhiked or took public transportation to get around before she was seen on March 18 as if she was “out,” but still dressed.
It has been reported that she was given a ride to Beverly Hills by a stranger, but was then asked to return to Hollywood, according to the outlet.
The ‘She’s The Man’ star was first taken to hospital early Sunday morning and is said to be ‘making improvements’ but will likely be committed for at least another week before being discharged.

The footage was shot less than two days before she was to be found naked and alone in the midst of a “psychotic episode” and hours before she canceled a scheduled public appearance on Saturday.
The star was also filmed and uploaded to a fan’s TikTok, captioning the video, “Luckily she’s getting the help she needs. She was sweet, gave her some money and talked. Sometimes ppl [sic] just have to talk.’
In the clip, you could hear the fan saying, “I saw her walking and had to say what’s up?” as Amanda is heard saying, “What’s up.”
Bynes’ former fiancé, Paul Michael, claims she was “off her meds” before being put in psychiatric prison.
Paul, who has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with Amanda since they broke off their engagement last July before getting back together a month later, told Page six: “She’s off her meds, and she’s still off her meds… She’s wild.”

Paul added that he and Amanda are now “friends” – after it was reported that they were living together in LA
Amanda previously accused Paul on her Instagram of not “taking his meds,” relapsing with “crack cocaine,” and watching “mother-and-son porn” before “kicking him out of her house.”
He added, “(Amanda) tried to kick me out, but I left to find my own place. I moved home and set boundaries.”
Paul also insisted that Amanda “lied” about her past drug and pornography allegations against him, claiming she had “embarrassed” him to “take the focus off her.”
He said, “She acted to shame me out,” adding that Amanda was “lying and cheating and having too many affairs the whole time” they were together.
Bynes and Michael famously got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2020, just months after staying in the same austere abode.
On Sunday, Bynes allegedly swung down a car and told the driver she was “coming after a psychotic episode” before calling 911.
Bynes was taken to a police station where a mental health team placed her in a 5150 psychiatric hold.
A 5150 is a legal action of the CA Welfare and Institutions Code. It allows a qualified officer or clinician to detain someone against their will for 72 hours, which can be extended. During this time, the person is fully assessed on their mental health status.

Bynes is currently in hospital and will likely receive care for several days. She was not injured in the incident.

This comes after the actress pulled out of reuniting with the rest of the All That cast at ’90s Con on Saturday, citing an “unknown illness,” according to That’s 4 Entertainment.
At the last minute, the actress, who previously expressed her eagerness to reconnect with her former Nickelodeon castmates at the event, had to cancel.
Her presence at the much-anticipated reunion, along with Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell, Danny Tamberelli and Lori Beth Denberg, would have been her first public appearance since the end of her nine-year conservatorship in March 2022.
She has yet to publicly address the health issues that prevented her from going, but just two months ago, she told People that she was “really excited to reunite with” her “castmates and meet the fans” 23 years after the original show ended.
The artist starred in the sketch comedy show from 1996 to 2000 alongside Mitchell, 44, Tamberelli, 40, and Denberg, 46.
