In a video posted to her Instagram Story on Monday, the 37-year-old actress explained why she appears to have gotten a “new look,” saying it was because she had an eyelid job.
She started by saying that she had read some headlines about her changed appearance and wanted to discuss the topic.
The She's the Man star admitted that she recently had eyelid surgery, adding that it was “one of the best things I could have ever done for my self-confidence.”
This comes just after she made her official return to the entertainment industry, dropping her debut podcast episode this weekend.

In the clip, the She's All That star confessed that she had removed the “skin folds” from the corners of her eyes, saying it was “one of the best things I could have ever done for my self-confidence”
In her video, she said this was something she had never spoken about publicly.
βI saw a few stories online saying I have a new look,β she began. “And I've never been open about this before.”
“I even had an eyelid correction to the skin folds in the corners of my eyes,” she admitted. 'So I no longer have those skin folds.'
She added that having the procedure improved her “confidence” and made her “feel a lot better about myself.”
“I feel a lot better about myself now and I'm so glad I had the eyelid surgery,” she continued. βIt was one of the greatest things I could have ever done.β
On the same day, Bynes also shared another video, revealing her secret about how she looks “not even old” for her age.
She said she “tends to find the best light” rather than taking photos in “harsh light,” which she said can “cast dark shadows in different areas.”
She also candidly said she had scars on the right side of her face, which she explained are only visible in “bright light.”
