Amanda Bynes was pictured walking in West Hollywood, California, on Monday, more than a month after being released from a mental health facility after a three-week stay.
The 37-year-old actress was dressed in a casual black and white ensemble as she checked her phone while crossing a crosswalk one spring day in Southern California.
The Thousand Oaks, California native wore her jet black locks down and parted at the side while wearing a white shirt with a picture of a basketball game and Michael Jordan’s number 23 on the bottom.
The Hairspray actress rounded out the ensemble with black sweatpants and white Converse hi-tops as she carried a quilted off-white Chanel handbag over her shoulder.
The She’s the Man star was spotted a month later after making headlines when she checked out of a mental health facility after a three-week stay.

She reportedly worked with facility staff to determine she was ready to return to her normal routines.
“Amanda left the medical facility on her own recognizance,” a source told Dailymail.com last month. “She was very cooperative, participated in her recovery, and the staff supported her decision to leave as she successfully completed the treatment program.”
Bynes has been advised to continue to distance herself from her former fiancé, Paul Michael, the source said, adding that “her family and friends believe her breakup was a catalyst in her breakdown and that he is not a sane and safe person.” is’ for her nearby.’
The source went on to say that the former couple were “co-dependent on each other and the latter part of their relationship was toxic, in part due to the fact that they met in rehab.
“They replaced their addiction to substances with addiction to each other.”
Now Bynes is entering an outpatient treatment program to ensure she maintains the progress she made during treatment. She is also regaining a sense of normalcy as she will reportedly be moving back into her own home.
Bynes has been under guardianship since 2013, but it ended last year to give her more freedom to make her own decisions.

TMZ previously reported that Bynes’s parents were not considering setting up another conservatory, as she was doing relatively well prior to her recent mental health crisis.
The original scheme began in 2013, after she was involuntarily committed following multiple run-ins with the law that began a year earlier.
She had two hit-and-runs as well as a DUI in 2012 and she was later arrested in 2013 for allegedly throwing a bong out the window of her 36th floor Manhattan apartment.
Bynes was last hospitalized after reportedly wandering the streets of Greater Los Angeles for four days right after her car was towed in Long Beach on March 15.
During that period, she was apparently in a manic state and walked around naked for some time.
Amanda was allegedly seen naked the day she entered the treatment facility, but a witness told TMZ that the She’s The Man star pulled over a car to get help.
She was apparently aware of her mental state and called 911 to report that she was coming out of a psychotic state and needed help.
After being captured, Bynes was initially placed in a psychiatric facility for 72 hours, which was initially extended while her team at the mental health facility developed a treatment plan for her.

Amid her mental health struggles, Bynes’s parents banned her ex-fiancé Paul Michael from having any contact with her after their four-year relationship ended in January this year.
“They don’t want her ex-fiance with him and he’s been instructed not to have any contact with her,” an insider told DailyMail.com on March 28. “He doesn’t seem to have the best interests of her and her family at heart. has nothing good to say about him.’
During a conversation with the New York Posthe said, “She’s off her meds, and she’s still off her meds … she’s wild.”
Michael previously claimed that the two were now “friends.”
Bynes rose to fame as a child star at age 13 on Nickelodeon’s The Amanda Show, and had success on shows like All That and What I Like About You.
She has also appeared in films such as She’s the Man, What a Girl Wants and Hairspray, with her last appearance in a movie in 2010’s Easy A.
Byne’s latest crisis appears to be the reason she pulled out of a reunion with her All That cast at ’90s Con last month, which was originally attributed to an “unknown illness.”
She had previously expressed her excitement about reconnecting with her castmates ahead of the convention.

She would be joined by SNL star Kenan Thompson, his Good Burger costar Kel Mitchell, Danny Tamberelli and Lori Beth Denberg, all of whom were part of the hit Nickelodeon sketch comedy series.
The event would also have been her first public appearance since her conservatory had ended a year earlier.
The series ran over 10 seasons from 1994 to 2005, Bynes appeared on All That from 1996 to 2000. It was later revived in 2019.
