George Clooney and Amal Clooney exuded megawatts of Hollywood glamor as they welcomed a dazzling array of showbiz hits at their second annual Albie Awards in New York on Thursday.
The Albie Awards are presented by the Clooney Foundation For Justice, which bills them as for “courageous defenders of justice who are put at great risk by what they do.”
They are named after Judge Albie Sachs, an internationally known South African lawyer who was imprisoned and subsequently exiled for his activism against the apartheid regime.
This year’s winners included a Ukrainian NGO, a Congolese anti-rape activist and the two Iranian journalists who broke the story of Mahsa Amini’s murder, which sparked the Woman Life Freedom uprising in their country.
For her latest red carpet appearance, Amal draped her statuesque figure in a white sequin dress with a train and matching her small clutch.

She let her dark hair fall in luscious waves over her shoulders, sharpened her marble-chapped features with makeup and gave the ensemble a touch of glitter with a dainty bracelet.
Meanwhile, George, in love with the silver fox look with a white beard and a distinctive salt-and-pepper haircut, modeled his signature classic tuxedo as he posed on his wife’s arm.
As they posed up a storm in front of the event’s golden backdrop, they mingled with some other attendees, including Amal’s mother, Lebanese journalist Baria Alamuddin.
At one point, the Hollywood power couple also posed flanking fashion designer Donatella Versace, who slipped her signature wiry frame into a daringly sheer brocade dress.
They also got down to business with none other than beauty mogul Charlotte Tilbury, who stood out in a statement dress with a design reminiscent of fish scales.
Couples galore turned the party into a date night, from ex-James Bond Daniel Craig and his actress wife Rachel Weisz to Oscar winner Julianne Moore and her husband Bart Freundlich.
Cindy Crawford, the reigning supermodel of the 1990s, attended the party on the arm of her dashing husband Rande Gerber, who co-founded tequila brand Casamigos with George and businessman Mike Meldman.
