A snorkeler has been found dead after going missing on a Melbourne beach.
The man was last seen swimming at Altona Beach on Port Phillip Bay before 4pm on Tuesday.
Police and surf lifesavers desperately searched for the man, whose body was unfortunately found on Tuesday evening. Police confirmed his death just after 9 p.m.
He has yet to be identified.
A report will be prepared for the coroner. His death is not considered suspicious.
