It is looking increasingly likely that Alphonso Davies will join Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer.

Davies has been a key part of the Bundesliga team since joining from his native Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019.

His achievements in claiming five league titles in Germany and Champions League success in 2020 have fueled this transfer speculation.

It comes after Tottenham’s Harry Kane made a successful move to the German titans last summer.

Now, according to Football SpainAlphonso’s move appears set to happen this summer as Madrid have been in ‘regular contact with the Bayern Munich star’s agent’.

In October it was announced that Nick Huoseh, Davies’ agent, spoke openly about the rumors circulating and what they mean for his player.

‘Real is a big club, I am a big fan. Real is a big name. When you hear rumors about your protégé, you become proud,” he said.

‘We still have a two-year contract with Bayern. We’ll wait and see how everything develops in the coming weeks.’

With Jude Bellingham taking La Liga by storm, the German newspaper also claims that Real are looking to put together a ‘super team’ to strengthen their position in European football.
